Chatting on Citizen Energy Webinar: Citizen Energy for a Fair and Competitive Transition

Access the webinar recording

The first Chatting on Citizen Energy Webinar took place on Wednesday 25 June 2025. The 1.5-hour recording introduces citizens and local actors to the Citizen Energy Advisory Hub’s (CEAH). It gives an overview of CEAH's activities and highlights available support for households, small businesses, municipalities, energy communities, social economy actors, and small-scale NGOs in developing sustainable energy projects.

It also explores some of the activities that citizens can engage in as part of the energy transition: district heating and energy efficiency, energy demand response and energy sharing.

It presents guest speakers from citizen energy projects in Belgium and Italy, who demonstrated the tangible benefits community leaders achieved for citizens, including reduced energy bills. Experts on these topics from the Building Performance Institute Europe (BPIE), SmartEn, and SolarPower Europe also joined the discussions on technical details and examined what might be needed to replicate these examples elsewhere.
