Citizen Energy Panel information sessions

Municipalities across Europe are invited to apply for the opportunity to host a Citizen Energy Panel. These are one-day events where local communities are brought together to help shape cleaner, citizen-focused energy plans. Hosting a panel will reveal your constituents energy needs and priorities, build trust, foster community, include those that are underrepresented, and increase public support for local policy.

CEAH will support the selected municipalities every step of the way, with planning, promotion, citizen selection, facilitation, and post-event evaluation. You’ll get expert guidance and ready-to-use tools.

Two online information session have been delivered to explain the application process, the support that will be provided by CEAH, and to answer your questions.

The first webinar, delivered on 27 November 2025, introduced the concept and purpose of citizen energy panels, showcased examples from across Europe, and explained the support that CEAH offers to municipalities. A recording of the session is available below.

The second webinar, delivered on 15 January 2026, provided a brief overview of topics covered in the first webinar and a dep-dive on the application process and evaluation criteria. A recording of the session is available below.

More information about Citizen Energy Panels and the application form are provided on this page.
