Citizen Energy Advisory Hub

Host Citizens Energy Panels

Throughout the initiative, CEAH will facilitate 27 Citizen Energy Panels, one-day, in-person events, one held in each EU Member State.

These panels are designed to help municipalities, citizen groups, and local energy actors come together to exchange knowledge, explore real-life examples, and co-develop actionable recommendations that can inform local, national and European Union (EU) level energy policies. The format combines expert input and interactive discussion, creating space for communities to learn, contribute, and shape the energy transition in ways that reflect their local context and priorities.

A call for applications will be issued in autumn the summer of 2025 for municipalities to apply for technical assistance to organise and implement these panels. Municipalities interested in hosting a panel will need to:

  • Provide a suitable venue and identify local speakers
  • Demonstrate how the panel’s recommendations could inform local decision-making
  • Support participant recruitment to ensure a diverse and representative group, including citizens of different ages, backgrounds, and experiences

Guidelines and a supporting resource pack will be provided to selected municipalities.
