Mapping citizen energy projects

The Citizen Energy Advisory Hub (CEAH) is mapping citizen energy initiatives across Europe, including energy communities, citizen energy dialogues, energy consumption reduction projects, and collaborations between citizens, SMEs, and local authorities.

By assessing the data of various organisations, including regulators, unions of cities and municipalities, energy agencies, and grid operators, CEAH aims to provide an accurate indication of the state of the European citizen energy landscape.

The data will be published on the CEAH website in interactive maps, providing an easy solution to finding different types of initiatives. The maps will provide inspiring examples to those wanting to set up similar initiatives, learn how to create more impact, or reach a specific target group through their existing initiatives. They will support researchers and policymakers in assessing potential citizen energy initiatives and supporting frameworks, and seeing the approaches taken by other regions or countries and their impact.

Once the maps are launched, citizens will have the opportunity to apply, via a form, to have their initiatives added to the maps on the next round of updates. Sign up for the CEAH network to be notified when the maps are published.
