Project description
Vaprioenergy , based in Vaprio d’Adda, Italy, is a renewable energy community initiative aimed at increasing local renewable energy production, promoting energy sharing and addressing energy poverty through solidarity-based mechanisms. The project is supported by local institutions and community organisations, ensuring strong citizen participation and democratic governance.
- Challenges addressed
It addresses challenges such as administrative complexity, technical knowledge gaps and the need for effective coordination among participants. By strengthening its operational model, Vaprioenergy contributes to a more inclusive and resilient local energy system.
- Technology
The initiative is centred on solar energy systems.
- Support received under CEAH
With CEAH support, the initiative is enhancing its technical capacity to manage energy data, optimise self-consumption and comply with regulatory requirements, particularly in relation to national incentive schemes.
1. Targeted Outreach to Recruit Non-Residential Consumers and Local Productive Users
Supports the diversification of the member base by targeting non-residential consumers such as SMEs, artisans, shops, and local services. It develops a structured outreach approach to improve engagement and recruitment effectiveness. Key deliverables include:- A Target Group Mapping, identifying priority non-residential consumer profiles and their strategic relevance
- An Outreach Package for Target Consumers, including key messages, engagement approaches, and recommended channels
- Technical Support for CER Configuration and GSE Operational Dossier
Addresses the complexity of preparing and managing documentation required for CER configuration and GSE submissions. It provides a practical and replicable operational framework to streamline processes and reduce administrative burden. Key deliverables include:
- An Operational GSE Checklist, outlining required documents, data inputs, and validation steps for configuration and updates
- A Shared Data Collection Package, including templates for data gathering and a summary of open issues and next steps
3. Stakeholder Engagement Plan and Support to One Local Outreach Initiative
This activity supports the design of a local energy helpdesk concept linked to the municipality and the CER, aimed at assisting citizens, volunteers, and vulnerable groups. It defines a simple and scalable model for a pilot outreach initiative. Key deliverables include:- A Helpdesk Concept Note, defining objectives, target users, scope, and operating logic of the local helpdesk
- A Basic User-Oriented Support Kit, including FAQ/process flows and communication tools to guide users and volunteers
