The Citizen Energy Advisory Hub (CEAH) will host two major public conferences to elevate the profile of citizen energy initiatives and accelerate a citizen-centred energy transition across Europe.

The conferences will bring together energy citizens, local actors, experts, national leaders and key figures from the European Union (EU), to provide a platform for learning and exchanges. They will facilitate essential discussions on topics relating to citizen energy, examine drivers and barriers and showcase some of the most impactful and replicable initiatives across Europe.

Speakers will be invited to share their experiences of participating in, promoting, and supporting citizen energy initiatives and to explore the enabling technical, regulatory, and economic conditions for a citizen-centred energy transition.

The conferences will have highly participatory elements, with a hybrid format to allow for in-person and online participation.

“Ensuring these events are as inclusive and accessible as possible will be paramount to gathering insights that are truly representative of all European citizens.” Said Tomas Harold, CEAH communications lead. “A just and inclusive energy transition must allow for everyone to access information and have their voices heard”.

The first conference is due to be held in Brussels in December 2025; further information and registration details will be published on the CEAH website and shared in the next newsletter.
