The second Chatting on Citizen Energy webinar took place on Wednesday, 26 November 2025. The 1.5-hour session explored the topic of energy sharing—a new right that allows citizens to share self-produced renewable electricity with others.
Attendees heard from representatives of the European Commission about the opportunities energy sharing presents and the relevant provisions in EU legislation. Speakers highlighted Spain as an early adopter, examining how implementation was carried out on the ground and discussing the benefits and challenges of the initiative.
