Project description
The Comunidad Energética Colonia Los Parques initiative, located in Madrid, Spain, focuses on the creation of an energy community in a working-class neighbourhood in Madrid, combining renewable energy deployment with building renovation and energy efficiency improvements. The project aims to empower residents to actively participate in the production and management of their own energy, while reducing costs and improving living conditions in ageing buildings.

Assesses the legal viability of establishing the homeowners’ association as an energy community by analysing the relevant regulatory framework and existing statutes. Key deliverables include:- A Feasibility Report, assessing compatibility between the current legal structure and energy community regulations
2. Decision-Making Protocol for Self-Consumption under the LPH
Supports legal clarity and procedural feasibility by developing practical tools to guide decision-making in compliance with the Horizontal Property Act. Key deliverables include:- A Procedural Guide, providing step-by-step recommendations for decision-making
- A Procedural Checklist, outlining required legal steps and actions
- An FAQs Document, addressing key procedural and legal questions
3. Stakeholder Meeting and Capacity Building Session
Supports stakeholder engagement and awareness by delivering an in-person session to present key findings, tools, and guidance materials. Key deliverables include:- Presentation Materials, explaining the energy community concept, legal framework, and procedures
